On August 26, the Luxeed R7 officially made its debut. This vehicle is a pure electric mid-size SUV and also the first coupe SUV to feature Hongmeng Intelligent Driving. Its design continues the family-style "Inside-Out" design language, infusing the brand with youthful and sporty energy. The new car is now available for pre-order, with an estimated price ranging from $40,000 to $55,000 based on previous reports.
The front design of the Luxeed R7 closely resembles that of the Luxeed S7, maintaining the unified family design style. The center features a through-type daytime running light, and the headlights integrate both high and low beams along with ultra-wide-angle lighting systems. These elements are seamlessly combined with the aerodynamic blades and side vents below, creating a strong sporty vibe. Additionally, the new car will be equipped with an active air intake grille (AGS) to reduce wind resistance.
On the sides, the Luxeed R7 boasts very smooth body lines and achieves a wide-body effect through the shoulder line at the rear. According to the manufacturer, it also has the lowest drag coefficient among mass-produced SUVs in the world. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 4956mm in length, 1981mm in width, and 1634mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2950mm. It comes standard with 20-inch double five-spoke wheels, with an option for 21-inch double ten-spoke wheels. The tires are from the Pirelli P-Zero series, and the interior features Brembo red brake calipers.
The rear of the Luxeed R7 continues the sporty theme with a through-type taillight design that enhances the visual width. It features a sports spoiler at the top and a diffuser at the bottom. Additionally, the car adopts a hatchback tailgate design to enhance daily storage convenience. In terms of body colors, besides the classic ceramic white, deep space gray, gilded black, and metropolitan red, two new colors-phantom purple and clear blue-have been added, offering a total of six color options.
In terms of power, the new Luxeed R7 will continue to be equipped with Huawei's motor system. The entire series will feature an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform, CDC continuously variable damping shock absorbers, and air suspension as standard. Its maximum cruising range under CLTC conditions is 802km, and it will also be equipped with HUAWEI ADS 3.0 end-to-end humanoid intelligent driving.
