Recently, we've learned through reliable sources that the 2025 Dongfeng Peugeot 408X is set to launch on July 12. Positioned as a mid-size car, it is built on the EMP2 V3 platform and features a 1.6T engine across the entire series.
In terms of appearance, the Dongfeng Peugeot 408X embodies Peugeot's latest design language with strong visual appeal. The front face is highlighted by a borderless matrix air intake grille, complemented by sharp fang-like daytime running lights. The narrow and elongated lion-eye headlights further accentuate the vehicle's dynamic stance.
The design of the Dongfeng Peugeot 408X leans towards a crossover style, featuring a body with a low front and high rear waistline that enhances its sporty posture. The car adopts a Fastback roofline, and the fastback tail and hatchback tailgate contribute to its sleek profile. The taillights are slender and extend along black decorative strips, emphasizing the width of the rear visually. In terms of details, the rear bumper features multiple horizontal lines, silver accents, and a concealed exhaust design at the bottom.
In terms of interior, Dongfeng Peugeot 408X adopts Peugeot i-Cockpit cockpit design, intending to create a more combat-style interior atmosphere. The car is equipped with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument, a 10.25-inch central control screen and a 9.7-inch i-Toggles sub-screen, and some physical buttons are retained. The shift mechanism under the center console is the latest electronic lever design.
In terms of body size, Dongfeng Peugeot 408X is 4705/1859/1502mm in length, width and height respectively, and the wheelbase is 2787mm. In terms of power, the current models on sale are equipped with a 1.6T engine with model 5G06 produced by Dongfeng Peugeot Automobile Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 129 kilowatts. In terms of transmission, it is matched with an 8AT gearbox. At the same time, the new car has a minimum ground clearance of 194mm (166mm when fully loaded), a 16° approach angle and a 21° departure angle, so it can better adapt to use in multiple terrains and scenarios.
