Recently, it was announced that Changan Mazda's first flagship sedan on a pure electric platform, the Mazda EZ-6, will roll off the assembly line on July 17. This new mid-size car, jointly developed by Mazda and Changan, is built on Changan's EPA platform and offers both pure electric and extended range power options.
In terms of appearance, the Mazda EZ-6 adopts the family-style "soul-moving" design concept. The center grille features an irregular three-dimensional effect with outlined edges that enhance its depth. The slender front headlight group looks quite fierce, with split headlights hidden in the lower section. The front surround of the vehicle includes a dynamic guide groove design.
The side profile of the Mazda EZ-6 showcases a dynamic coupe-style body design, with the window B-pillar adopting a hidden design. The vehicle is equipped with large-size wheels and hidden door handles. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 4921mm in length, 1890mm in width, and 1485mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2895mm.
At the rear, the sporty double-ring taillights are seamlessly integrated with the through-type design and an attractive ducktail. Additionally, the entire rear surround guide groove adds a dynamic touch.
In terms of the interior, the Mazda EZ-6 adopts a minimalist design concept. The center console is devoid of physical buttons, featuring a suspended 14.6-inch screen and a full LCD instrument panel. The center console is wrapped in leather, and the steering wheel has a premium feel.
The car's system utilizes an 8155 chip, integrating the control of air conditioning, seats, entertainment, and other functions. The vehicle will also come equipped with a 14-speaker Sony audio system, 64-color ambient lighting, front zero-gravity seats, and the cabin supports 13 scene mode settings. Additionally, it features a panoramic skylight.
In terms of power, the Mazda EZ-6 offers two options: extended range and pure electric. The extended-range model is equipped with a 1.5L range extender with a maximum power of 70kW and a motor power of 160kW, paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery. The pure electric model is equipped with a single motor with a maximum power of 190kW, also using a lithium iron phosphate battery. Both models have a maximum speed of 170 km/h.
