BJ40 Blade Hero/Champion Edition will be launched on July 15
We learned from the official that Beijing Off-road will launch two new vehicles, the new Beijing BJ40 Ring Tower Champion Edition and the new Beijing BJ40 Blade Hero Edition Crosser (diesel power) on July 15. Among them, the new Beijing BJ40 Blade Hero Edition Crosser (diesel power), which is the P-class in the BJ40 series, has a pre-sale price of US$29,500.
The new Beijing BJ40 Ring Tower Champion Edition belongs to the S-class of the BJ40 series. It is prepared for consumers who prefer off-road, and the configuration is more concerned with passability. The length, width and height of the Ring Tower Champion Edition are 4790/1940/1915 mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2760 mm. The chassis is equipped with a front double wishbone independent suspension and a rear multi-link non-independent suspension structure. Compared with the City Hunter version, the suspension height of the Ring Tower Champion Edition has been increased by 20 mm, so the approach angle, departure angle, and longitudinal passing angle are all 1 degree higher than the City Hunter version. The ground clearance of the vehicle is 230 mm, the wading depth can reach 800 mm, and there is an interface for the wading hose.
It is worth noting that compared with the previous generation of BJ40, the three top panels of the new BJ40 Ring Tower Champion Edition can be quickly removed and stored in the trunk. In addition, the front bar, wheel eyebrows and other parts are all designed with quick release, which greatly facilitates the installation of competition bars, alloy wheel eyebrows, etc. Many anchor points are also reserved in the car to meet the installation needs of common off-road equipment such as hand-held radios in the future. In addition, the car has a 2.5-ton towing qualification.
The P-level Blade Hero version has previously launched the gasoline-powered "Blade Hero Edition Climber", priced at US$26,700, and the diesel-powered "Crosser" to be launched soon is pre-sold at US$29,500. The P level is a configuration that takes comfort into consideration. The new Beijing BJ40 Blade Hero Crosser will be equipped with a 2.0T diesel engine provided by BAIC Foton, with a maximum power of 163 horsepower and a peak torque of 400 Nm, matched with an 8-speed manual transmission, and a maximum speed of 160km/h. In terms of chassis configuration, the gasoline version uses a part-time four-wheel drive, and the diesel version uses a full-time four-wheel drive.
In terms of intelligent driving system, the diesel version supports active safety warning, standard active braking, lane assist, lane keeping, lane centering, traffic sign recognition, signal light recognition and other functions, while the gasoline version does not have and cannot be selected.
In terms of other configurations, the diesel version has 10 speakers, two more than the gasoline version, and supports electric adjustment of the main and co-pilot seats. The gasoline version can only adjust the co-pilot seat manually. The diesel version's audio supports ANC active noise reduction function and is equipped with adaptive high and low beams, which are configurations that the gasoline version does not have.
