According to the automaker, the 9th generation Camry is built on the TNGA-K platform, offering consumers a choice between "sporty" and "trendy" exterior design. The dimensions of the new car are 4980mm/1840mm/1450mm in length, width and height, while the wheelbase is 2825mm.
Utilising the signature design language of this classis model, the new product features a central control panel that eschews the Y-shaped design of previous generations in favour of extensive use of horizontal lines. The contemporary design is further enhanced by a concealed electrostatic touch panel. The rear boot lid features a small spoiler in the shape of a duck tail, while the exhaust system is also concealed.
The 9th generation Camry comes with two power train transmission options: an oil-fueled version equipped with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine and a HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) version. This cancels the 2.5L + 8 AT powertrain combination of the previous generation. The oil-fueled version has a maximum power of 127 kW and a peak torque of 206 Nm paired with a continuously variable CVT transmission, while the HEV one is equipped with a fifth-generation THS hybrid system, which provides a total power of up to 145 kW. In addition, the HEV version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 8 seconds, and fuel consumption is 4.2 liters/100 km.
The new model features AR-HUD, photo-sensitive touch buttons, panoramic sunroof with beam design, 64-colour ambient lighting system and intelligent control of the high-end fragrance system.
The 9th generation Camry is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset, with the maximum package including 12GB + 128GB RAM. The car also comes with advanced features such as 3D facial recognition, account login, one-touch unlocking and mobile phone interaction.
