Denza Z9/Z9GT starts pre-sale, starting at only $47,800
On August 20, Denza Z9/Z9GT officially started pre-sales. Positioned as medium-to-large cars, the Denza Z9/Z9GT are built on the Yi Sanfang technology platform, enabling three-motor independent drive and original rear-wheel steering technology, and offering both pure electric and hybrid models. Officials stated that Yi Sanfang addresses travel challenges such as parking in dead-end spaces, slipping on slippery roads, maneuvering extreme curves, dealing with high-speed tire blowouts, and navigating narrow roads. The Denza Z9GT will be launched and delivered in September, while the Z9 will follow in the fourth quarter. Both models will be unveiled at the Chengdu Auto Show at the end of August.
In terms of appearance, the Denza Z9GT features a more dynamic design, with a front face inspired by the energy of a sunrise, characterized by a corona design. The slim headlights are a highlight, featuring high and low beam lights and DLP pixel headlights to support intelligent driving functions. The front lip design is dynamic, focusing on aerodynamics and integrating a laser radar, AGS active air intake grille, millimeter wave radar, parking radar, and more into the grille. The new car is equipped with two laser radars and a front three-eye camera. Officials have announced that Denza N7 and Z9GT will be available nationwide by the end of the year.
The side profile of the new car features a short front and rear overhang with a long wheelbase design, giving the vehicle a "low-lying" stance with a low center of gravity. The body has a greater than 3:1 axle ratio and nearly 2:1 wheel height ratio, presenting an elegant proportion. It also includes hidden door handles, frameless doors, and electric suction doors. The large wheels, paired with yellow calipers, enhance the vehicle's dynamic appearance. The new car measures 5180mm (pure electric) / 5195mm (plug-in hybrid) in length, 1990mm in width, and 1480mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3125mm.
At the rear, the slender taillight design is distinctive and memorable. The rear bumper, like the front, is designed with aerodynamics in mind and includes a three-stage active spoiler. The "Yi Sanfang" logo is also visible at the rear.
Inside, the Denza Z9GT features a symmetrical design with an embracing layout, 128-color interior ambient lighting, and extensive soft-touch materials, creating a luxurious atmosphere. Denza, drawing on Mercedes-Benz design concepts, has always excelled in crafting luxury interiors. The car offers two interior styles: Purple Mist + Pergmi and Dark Night + Prague Red.
The vehicle is equipped with three screens: a floating square central control screen, a full LCD instrument panel, and a co-pilot screen integrated into the center console. Additionally, the car features a head-up display system and electronic rearview mirror displays on both sides. Dual 50W wireless fast chargers are located under the central control screen. The center console and rear center also house dual intelligent heating and cooling refrigerators, with a heating range of 35°C-50°C and a cooling range of -6°C-6°C. The front refrigerator has a 4L capacity, fitting 6 bottles of Coke, while the rear has a 10L capacity, accommodating 2 bottles of champagne or 4 bottles of red wine. The audio system is the familiar Devialet brand.
The seats of the Denza Z9GT are a major highlight, with the front row offering leg adjustment, lumbar support, headrest audio, heating, ventilation, massage, and memory functions. The second-row seats also perform well, supporting electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The rear row features privacy glass, electric side window sunshades, and rear soft-light makeup mirrors. The new car also provides two 2.1 square meter sunroofs with segmented sunshades and an electric trunk.
In terms of power, the Denza Z9GT offers pure electric and plug-in hybrid models, all equipped with three motors and electric four-wheel drive. The pure electric model's total motor power is 710 kilowatts, while the plug-in hybrid model has 640 kilowatts. The 2.0T turbocharged engine delivers a maximum power of 207 horsepower (152 kilowatts), with top speeds of 240km/h for the pure electric model and 230km/h for the hybrid. The plug-in hybrid model offers a maximum range of 1,100km, while the pure electric model has a range of 630km. The vehicle also features an external discharge function. The Denza Z9GT is equipped with air suspension, which allows adjustment of suspension height and stiffness. It also comes with the Denza Pilot intelligent driving system, which currently supports highway auto-driving assistance, including automatic ramp entry and exit, and automatic parking.
