In terms of appearance, the new Cyberster continues to showcase a highly recognizable sports car design. The flat front end, paired with the "Storm Eye" LED headlights, delivers a strong visual impact. The daytime running lights feature a parametric texture design that integrates seamlessly with the body lines, creating a futuristic and distinctive lighting effect when illuminated.
As a convertible sports car, the Cyberster is equipped with an electric soft-top roof, capable of opening or closing in under 10 seconds at speeds below 50 km/h. To ensure the reliability of the convertible mechanism, MG Cyberster review has conducted rigorous testing including 7 extreme scenarios, 3 dynamic situations, and a total of 2,730 roof-window interaction tests, aiming for top standards in sealing and durability.
The 2026 Cyberster interior has received further enhancements, including a new red-and-black color scheme, as well as the addition of power lumbar support and a wind deflector to improve comfort. The trunk space has also been increased to better meet daily usage needs. In terms of intelligent features, the upgraded voice recognition system is more accurate, and new additions include a convertible usage counter and a full-scene sound effect matrix, enhancing the smart in-car atmosphere.
In terms of performance, the 400kW dual-motor AWD system is paired with a 77kWh battery, delivering a CLTC range of 520 km, which is more practical compared to the similarly priced Tesla Model 3 Performance (455 km). More importantly, the Cyberster is built on SAIC's in-house developed Nebula all-electric platform, supporting 800V high-voltage fast charging technology. It can recharge up to 300 km in just 15 minutes, directly addressing the range anxiety typically associated with electric sports cars. Additionally, the chassis has been retuned and the BMS system optimized, further improving range efficiency.
