On the afternoon of September 20, 2024, the "Export Dreams, Henan Creates the Future" Used Car Export Committee Inauguration Conference and Henan Used Car Export Summit Forum were held in the conference room of the Maika Automobile Cultural and Creative Park in Zhengzhou.

Yan Keshi, Executive Director of Gurney Group, shared insights on the opportunities and challenges in used car exports. Over the past two years, with the rapid development of China's automobile industry-especially the rapid iteration of new energy vehicles-China's auto export industry has transitioned from a few companies actively exploring the market to the entire industry experiencing rapid growth. In 2019, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Public Security, and the General Administration of Customs jointly issued a notice on the development of used car export business. The first batch of 45 companies entered the used car export list, and the number of automobile exports that year barely crossed the 1 million mark. By September 2023, the number of companies on the used car export list had grown to 471, not counting companies conducting this business through various channels. In the same year, China's total automobile exports reached 4.91 million, ranking first in the world. This presents a tremendous opportunity for our time. While the opportunities are new, the challenges remain both new and old. Seizing new opportunities while addressing long-standing challenges is our biggest issue at present.
