On December 9, Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, released a video on a short video platform announcing that the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra will be launched in March next year. He stated that there are still a few months left to further improve and perfect the quality.
In addition, Lei Jun revealed that a driving training program for Xiaomi SU7 Ultra small-order users is also in preparation, and registration details are expected to be available soon.
Previously, Xiaomi Auto had mentioned the latest progress of its "Xiaomi Driving School" in an official response to netizens' questions (Episode 100). It is reported that the preparation for Xiaomi Auto Elite Driving is in full swing, with recruitment expected to begin in December. An exclusive event for Xiaomi SU7 Ultra small-order users will also be launched in mid-December.
On October 29 this year, during the Xiaomi 15 series and Xiaomi Pengpai OS 2 new product launch event, Lei Jun announced the pre-sale price of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra mass-produced car – $114,900, and opened reservations.
According to Lei Jun, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra features a super three-motor system with 1548PS of super horsepower, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds, with a maximum designed speed of 350 km/h.
The super three-motor system consists of two V8 motors and one V6 motor. This marks the first official mass production of Xiaomi's self-developed V8 super motor, which can reach a maximum speed of 27,200 rpm.
Additionally, carbon fiber materials are used in various parts of the vehicle, including 17 components such as the roof and steering wheel, covering a total area of 3.74 square meters. This helps to significantly reduce the vehicle's weight, improving both handling and stability.
Moreover, the latest battery life information for the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has been released in the catalog of new energy vehicle models exempt from vehicle purchase tax by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. According to the data, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is equipped with a 93.7kWh battery pack, offering four different range options: 520 km, 555 km, 600 km, and a maximum of 630 km.
