On July 4, we learned that BYD's medium-sized SUV, BYD Song L DM-i, will be equipped with the fifth-generation DM technology, with a pure electric range of 112 kilometers and a price of about 21,100-25,300 yuan. According to previous information, although the car is called BYD Song L, it uses a different platform from the BYD Song L pure electric version currently on sale.

Briefly reviewing the appearance, BYD Song L DM-i adopts the dragon face design language, and the narrow and long headlight group is matched with the large-size front grille, which has a high overall recognition. At the same time, the guide groove design is added on both sides of the grille to enhance the sense of sportiness. From the rear, it adopts the currently popular through-type taillight group, and adds dragon scale-like solemn embellishment to the details of the lamp cavity, and with the large-size spoiler above, it is young and fashionable.

In terms of body size, BYD Song L DM-i has a length, width and height of 4780/1898/1670mm and a wheelbase of 2782mm. In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid power system consisting of a 1.5L engine + electric motor, with a maximum engine power of 74kW and a maximum electric motor power of 160kW. The battery uses lithium iron phosphate battery and has a maximum speed of 180km/h.
