Recently, the BYD Seal 05 DM-i was officially unveiled in China. The new car features the latest family design language and is equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM hybrid technology, promising impressive fuel efficiency. Additionally, the vehicle is expected to be priced below $15,000.

In terms of design, the Seal 05 DM-i adopts the Ocean Network's latest family styling, with headlights that align with those of the Seal 06 DM-i and other models. The front end showcases a diving posture, giving the car a sporty appearance.

On the sides, the vehicle features a simple and sleek design with a continuous waistline, creating an elongated visual effect. At the rear, the car uses a through-type light strip design, enhancing the sense of layering and solidity.

Regarding dimensions, the Seal 05 DM-i measures 4780 mm in length, 1837 mm in width, and 1515 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2718 mm. The body height is 20 mm taller than the Destroyer 05. In terms of features, the car offers a triple-camera setup on the front windshield, a rear-facing camera on the front fender, and cameras on the exterior rearview mirrors. These features suggest that the intelligent driving capabilities may surpass those of the Destroyer 05.

Under the hood, the BYD Seal 05 DM-i is powered by a plug-in hybrid system comprising a 1.5-liter engine and an electric motor. The engine produces a maximum power of 74 kW, while the drive motor delivers a peak power of 120 kW. For more updates on the new car, TOPEV will continue to monitor and provide further reports.
