The BYD Yuan UP 301km Navigation Edition has officially hit the market, priced at RMB 74,800 (approximately $10,300 USD). As the entry-level model in the Yuan UP lineup, this version does not come equipped with the "DiPilot 100" Tri-Cam Assisted Driving System (also known as "Tienshen Eye C"). It is powered by a front-mounted electric motor with a maximum output of 70 kW and offers a CLTC-rated driving range of 301 kilometers.

Positioned as a compact electric SUV, the Yuan UP features a short and agile body design, making it ideal for urban commuting. The BYD Yuan UP specs are 4310/1830/1675 mm (length/width/height), with a wheelbase of 2620 mm. It adopts BYD's signature design language, with large black plastic cladding on the lower body and wheel arches, giving it a rugged, crossover-style appearance.

Inside, the 301km Navigation Edition Yuan UP interior features bold lines and a layered layout. The dashboard includes an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.8-inch floating central touchscreen, powered by BYD's DiLink intelligent infotainment system with a D100 chip. The system supports four-zone voice interaction, wireless smartphone charging, and other convenient tech features.

Despite being the base model, the new BYD Yuan UP EV comes well-equipped. Standard features include an electronic gear selector, in-car ETC device, NFC-enabled digital key, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and smart power on/off. It also includes practical features like a VTOL mobile power station. For safety, dual front airbags and a 360° panoramic camera system come standard.

In terms of performance, the 301km Navigation Edition is fitted with a 70 kW front motor and a 32 kWh battery, delivering a CLTC range of 301 km. The other three 401 km variants all come with a 45.12 kWh FinDreams lithium iron phosphate Blade Battery, offering up to 401 km of range. The higher-spec models feature a more powerful 130 kW motor for enhanced performance.

For advanced driving assistance, the three 401 km intelligent driving versions are equipped with the DiPilot 100 "Tienshen Eye C" tri-cam assisted driving system. This setup supports OTA updates and adds functions like automatic folding mirrors in tight spaces, front-in and rear-out parking, and offset parking. However, the 301km Navigation Edition does not include this feature.

Additionally, the BYD Yuan UP colors now include two new options: "Vibrant Beige" and "Gentle Purple," joining the existing palette of Delight White, Stylish Gray, and Relaxed Green - for a total of five color choices. Meanwhile, the second-generation Yuan PLUS has also added two new exterior colors: "Sailing Blue" and "Off-road Green," bringing its total to five as well.

BYD also announced upcoming OTA updates for the smart cockpit system, which will introduce a new "Phone-to-Car Interconnect" feature. This allows users to continue watching unfinished videos from their phones on the in-car screen. Other new functions include "Mirror Mode," "Navigation Transfer," and an enhanced "Privacy Mode" to better protect user data.
