On May 17, BYD officially launched its all-new all-electric mid-size sedan -- the BYD e7. The new model comes in three configurations, with a BYD e7 price ranging from RMB 103,800 to 115,800. Positioned as an A+ class all-electric sedan, the e7 offers two CLTC range options,450 km and 520 km, and features BYD's cutting-edge lithium iron phosphate Blade Battery. Exterior Design: Ocean-Inspired Aesthetics with a Sporty Touch
The BYD e7 continues the brand's Ocean Aesthetics design language, featuring a closed front grille, sleek blacked-out headlights, and fine LED daytime running lights. A muscular hood and wide lower air intake with flanking air ducts emphasize the car's athletic appearance. The side profile inherits the silhouette of models like the Qin L EV and Seal 06, with a flowing fastback roofline, traditional door handles, black wheels, and strong character lines over the wheel arches. The design blends dynamic energy with refined elegance.
At the rear, the e7 sports a striking full-width LED taillight, flanked by bold wind tunnel-inspired contours and a black rear diffuser that enhances the vehicle's visual impact. In terms of dimensions, the e7 measures 4780 mm long, 1900 mm wide, and 1515 mm tall, with a 2820 mm wheelbase, offering excellent interior space, larger than the Qin L EV.

The e7 features ergonomic cloud comfort front seats, with the driver's seat supporting ventilation and heating. The e7 is powered by a front-mounted single electric motor delivering 100 kW of maximum power and 180 N·m of peak torque. Two battery options are available - 48 kWh and 57.6 kWh - supporting CLTC ranges of 450 km and 520 km respectively, meeting both daily commuting and long-distance needs.
The model supports fast charging, with 30% to 80% charge taking just 28 minutes (48 kWh) or 26 minutes (57.6 kWh). Thanks to its wide-temperature heat pump system, the e7 maintains efficient charging performance even in cold weather. The vehicle's Blade Battery, tested through nail penetration experiments, ensures high safety standards.
