On August 5, we learned from Hongmeng Zhixing that its new mid-to-large sedan, the STELATO S9, will be officially launched tomorrow (August 6). According to previous reports, the car is expected to be priced between $63,400 and $77,500. With this launch, the STELATO S9 will compete with models from brands such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW in the same price range.

The STELATO S9 is jointly built by Huawei and BAIC, with an overall design inspired by the universe. The car features a very simple design concept, with a C-shaped headlight group and a through-type light strip for high recognizability. At the rear, the car adopts the currently popular through-type taillight group design, combined with a small ducktail shape above and a trapezoidal license plate area design below, giving it a strong overall presence.

According to the official information disclosed so far, the STELATO S9 is equipped with the new HarmonyOS 4 system, which further upgrades the smart cockpit. In terms of intelligent driving, the STELATO S9 will also be upgraded to ADS 3.0 (AITO M9 is ADS 2.0), adopting a new end-to-end architecture, comprehensively improving intelligent driving, intelligent parking, and active safety capabilities.


For privacy, the STELATO S9 features privacy glass on the rear window, and the entire series is equipped with a physical sunshade on the roof, an electric sunshade on the rear window and rear windshield, and a manual sunshade on the rear triangular window. Additionally, the car will come with HUAWEI SOUND SUPERIOR panoramic audio. For comfort, the new car includes a leather steering wheel, solid wood interior, a small table for the second-row boss seat, and a heating and cooling box for the rear armrest. All four windows are equipped with double-layer laminated soundproof glass. There is also a MagLink interface behind the front seats for external tablets.

In terms of body size, the length, width, and height of the car are 5160/1987/1486mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 3050mm. For power, the new car will be available in single-motor and dual-motor versions. The single motor has a maximum power of 227kW, a peak torque of 355N·m, and a range of 672km. The dual-motor version features front and rear motors with maximum powers of 158kW and 227kW respectively, combined power of 385kW, peak torque of 655N·m, and a range of 665km.
