BYD Seal 07 EV/DM-i Will Be Launched On August 8 With BYD's Latest Technology

Recently, we learned from relevant channels that the BYD Seal 07 EV and BYD Seal DM-i will be officially launched on August 8. The pure electric version will be built on the e-platform 3.0 Evo, while the plug-in hybrid version will be upgraded to the fifth-generation DM plug-in hybrid technology. It is worth mentioning that the car is also expected to offer optional laser radar, which is promising in terms of intelligent driving.

Looking at the new car, its overall appearance still continues the design of the current model. The BYD Seal 07 DM-i grille is decorated with horizontal lines, while the BYD Seal 07 EV will adopt a closed grille design. The body size of the new car remains unchanged, with a length, width, and height of 4980/1890/1495mm and a wheelbase of 2900mm. The biggest change is the provision of optional laser radar, which is expected to be a significant step forward in driving assistance.

In terms of power, the BYD Seal 07 DM-i will be equipped with DM5.0 technology and will still offer two engines: a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and a 1.5T turbocharged engine, with maximum power outputs of 74 kW and 115 kW respectively, and maximum motor power outputs of 160 kW and 200 kW respectively. The BYD Seal 07 EV is expected to be built on the e-platform 3.0 Evo, equipped with an 800-volt high-voltage system, improving charging efficiency.
