In November, NIO delivered 20,575 new cars, exceeding 20,000 for the seventh consecutive month! To achieve further progress, the NIO ET9 is here to help. The new car is built on the NT3.0 platform, positioned as a large pure electric sedan, and adopts an executive four-seat layout. It is equipped with NIO's latest technologies, such as the Tianxing full-active suspension, full-domain 900V high-voltage architecture, and the Shenji NX9031 intelligent driving chip. The car will be launched at NIO Day 2024 on December 21. Recently, some netizens captured images of the real NIO ET9 on the streets. Let's take a sneak peek.

From the photos of the real car, the NIO ET9 continues the family design language. The swooping closed front face features a sharp "car nose" that protrudes, with split headlights on either side. The sharp upward daytime running lights give the car a very aggressive look, while the bottom features a new smart high-definition projection headlight. The lidar is visible on the roof, complemented by wide-angle lidars on both sides, and the Shenji NX9031 intelligent driving chip is upgraded to the Aquila 2.0 Weilai super-sensing system, enabling full-domain navigation assistance (NOP+). Additionally, the NIO ET9 will also feature a front trunk.

The body dimensions are 5325mm in length, 2016mm in width, and 1620mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3250mm, making it larger than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The side profile adopts a fastback coupe design, coupled with induction electric frameless doors, hidden door handles, narrow through-type taillights, and other design elements that emphasize its fashion-forward attributes. The intelligent electric rear wing continues to enhance the sporty temperament. The NIO ET9 will also be equipped with 23-inch two-tone, densely-spoked wheels, combined with a large welcome light carpet, underscoring its high-end nature. The active lifting suspension further enhances the sense of ceremony.

The interior of the NIO ET9 moves away from the family-style vertical large screen and instead uses a 15.6-inch floating AMOLED central control screen. There is also a 1.4-meter through-type skyline screen in the front, combined with an AR-HUD head-up display to create a high-tech atmosphere. The car is equipped with the iconic NOMI voice assistant. The black-and-white two-tone interior is decorated with wood grain panels and 256-color ambient lighting, continuing to emphasize its luxurious feel. The new rectangular double-spoke multifunction steering wheel and electronic hand gear, along with dual wireless mobile phone charging, further enhance the high-end experience.

As an executive sedan, the rear seat is the main focus. The NIO ET9 will adopt a four-seat layout, with two independent seats in the back row, featuring electric leg rests that can recline up to 45° at the touch of a button. The seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The central armrest has an 8-inch multifunction control screen, wireless mobile phone charging, and a folding small table. Additionally, the car will have two 14.5-inch entertainment screens, a 10L electric-opening refrigerator, a segmented panoramic skylight, 7 physical sunshades, and ARNC active noise reduction technology, maximizing comfort and creating a premium atmosphere.

In terms of power, the NIO ET9 will feature a front and rear dual-motor four-wheel-drive system, with a maximum power output of 180kW and 340kW, respectively, and a total system power of 520kW (707 horsepower). It will be paired with a self-developed 46105 cylindrical battery with a capacity of 120kWh, and the full-domain 900V high-voltage architecture, supporting a charging power of up to 600kW. This allows for a 255km range boost in just 5 minutes, and a battery swap can be completed in just 3 minutes. In addition, it will be equipped with Tianxing full-active suspension, rear-wheel steering, and other features. With a pre-sale price of $110,000, the NIO ET9 will compete with models like the MAEXTRO S800 and Xiaomi SU7, as well as traditional luxury vehicles such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series.
