On July 24th, Geely Galaxy officially announced the launch of the Geely Galaxy L6 Creative Edition. This model, priced at $18,300, features a plug-in hybrid power system with a pure electric range of 125 km and a total range of 1,370 km.
A notable update in the Geely Galaxy L6 Creative Edition is the introduction of a new rose pink paint scheme paired with a black roof, highlighting a stylish two-tone design. The overall design remains unchanged from previous models. The Geely Galaxy L6 is built on the e-CMA architecture, measuring 4782 mm in length, 1875 mm in width, and 1489 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2752 mm and a drag coefficient of 0.26Cd. It features 18-inch Goodyear tires, and boasts an impressive braking distance of just 36.5 meters from 100 km/h to 0.
Inside, the Geely Galaxy L6 adopts an embracing cockpit design with increased use of suede materials on the armrests and other areas, along with a hand-held gear lever. The central control incorporates a 13.2-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch LCD instrument display. The novel D-shaped multi-function steering wheel enhances the driving experience. The vehicle is equipped with the Galaxy N OS intelligent system, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, and includes features such as a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, rear parking radar, built-in dashcam, voice commands, Wi-Fi hotspot, karaoke function, in-car PM2.5 filtration, AQS air quality monitoring, and DP-EPS speed-dependent power steering system.
The unique lark light show in this class supports LED digital dynamic headlights, taillights, and a 3.3m light strip to form a matrix module capable of displaying 100 dynamic light shows synchronized with music. The firefly ambient lighting offers 256 colors and synchronizes with the rhythm of the music, featuring five interactive scenes: door opening, intelligent voice, music rhythm, air conditioning adjustment, and nap mode. The marshmallow seat, available for the main driver, provides five functions: massage, ventilation, memory, heating, and electric adjustment. Additionally, the car is equipped with an electric tailgate, which is a rare feature in this class.
In terms of power, the Geely Galaxy L6 utilizes the Raytheon electric hybrid 8848 plug-in hybrid system, consisting of a 1.5T hybrid dedicated engine, P1 and P2 dual motors, and a 3-speed DHT Pro gearbox. The 1.5T engine delivers a maximum power of 120kW (163 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 255 Nm. The motor has a maximum power of 107kW (145 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 338 Nm. The system's combined maximum power reaches 287kW (390 horsepower) with a comprehensive maximum torque of 535 Nm. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds. It has a pure electric range of 125 km (CLTC), a fuel consumption of 4.55L/100km when powered, and a total range of 1370 km.
