Recently, GAC Group and Huawei held a signing ceremony for strategic cooperation in the smart car sector, where both parties signed an agreement to deepen their collaboration. GAC Group will launch a new high-end smart new energy vehicle brand in addition to its existing brands, Trumpchi, AION, and HYPTEC. This new brand will serve as the carrier for the partnership, with Huawei leveraging its strengths to provide users with a leading intelligent experience through collaboration in product development, marketing, and ecological services.
GAC Group and Huawei have maintained a close strategic partnership for many years, with their cooperation spanning multiple areas, including hardware, software, products, cloud services, research and development, and intelligent manufacturing.
At the Guangzhou Auto Show, GAC Group announced plans to launch 7 new models under its own brand in 2025, covering pure electric, extended range, plug-in hybrid, and other technologies. The company aims to achieve more than 60% of the group's total sales from its own brand by 2027, targeting total sales of 2 million vehicles. Over the next three years, GAC Group plans to release 22 new models from its own brand.
Previously, GAC Trumpchi and Huawei unveiled the new concept car, "1 Concept." The new car measures 5128mm in length, over 2000mm in width, with a wheelbase of 3000mm, and features Trumpchi's third-generation design language. It incorporates Huawei's intelligent car solution, including the Hongmeng cockpit and the Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 3.0 system. The mass-produced version of the car will be revealed in the first quarter of 2025.
In 2025, GAC Trumpchi will launch 3 new flagship models, in collaboration with Huawei, featuring the next-generation Hongmeng cockpit and Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 3.0 system. These three new flagship models will include a large luxury MPV, a large luxury SUV, and a large luxury sedan. The cooperation between GAC Trumpchi and Huawei will focus on areas such as intelligent chassis and human-computer interaction technologies.
