Recently, we learned from Chery Automobile that the Chery Fulwin A8L will be launched on December 17. The new model adopts the latest family design language, and will be powered by a 1.5T plug-in hybrid powertrain.
In terms of appearance, the Chery Fulwin A8L C-DM differs significantly from the current Fulwin A8. The front features a new polygonal air intake grille with dot matrix chrome accents and black trim inside the grille. This grille is connected to the headlights on both sides, giving the car a more refined and fashionable look. Additionally, a trapezoidal air intake design has been incorporated below, with adjusted air guide grooves on both sides, enhancing the dynamic visual effect.
The side profile of the new Chery Fulwin A8L remains similar to the current Fulwin A8, retaining the traditional door handle design. A "Lifetime Warranty" nameplate is added near the rear triangular window on the C-pillar. The new model's dimensions are 4790mm in length, 1843mm in width, and 1487mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2790mm. Compared to the current model, the car is 10mm longer. The rear features a through-type taillight and the "FULWIN" letter logo, which further enhances brand recognition.
Inside, the Chery Fulwin A8L adopts a minimalist design. It is equipped with a 15.6-inch floating central control screen, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and a rectangular full LCD instrument panel, all of which highlight the car's technological appeal. The new car will also feature the Lion5.0 AI technology smart cockpit, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, offering functions such as intelligent voice control, L2-level intelligent driving assistance, and more.
For power, the Chery Fulwin A8L will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system that combines a 1.5T engine with an electric motor. The engine generates a maximum power output of 115 kW and is paired with a Guoxuan High-tech lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a capacity of 18.67 kWh. According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the pure electric range is 106 km.
