The high-end version, equipped with the Yunnian-P intelligent hydraulic body control system, offers a minimum ground clearance of 310 mm.

The rear design is fairly standard, with the BYD Leopard 5 featuring an external spare tire typical of this class. The tailgate opens from right to left and is equipped with an electric suction door function, allowing for effortless closure, preventing the tailgate from bouncing back during heavy off-roading. The vehicle comes standard with four physical trailer anchor points, offering a maximum towing capacity of 32,000 N. It can also be equipped with a 2.5-ton towing qualification, meeting the needs for towing RVs, yachts, etc.

The interior of the BYD Leopard 5 blends toughness with technological elements. The central control area features three screens: a 15.6-inch 2.5K high-definition multimedia screen in the center, a 12.3-inch instrument panel for the driver, and a 12.3-inch multimedia entertainment screen for the front passenger.

Interestingly, the center console includes a retractable gear lever that rises when the vehicle starts and slowly lowers when it's shut down, providing a ceremonial touch. Behind the gear lever are numerous physical buttons, some of which are crystal-clear, adding a refined atmosphere. In terms of audio, the BYD Leopard 5 collaborates with Devialet, equipping the vehicle with up to 18 Devialet speakers, including a headrest speaker for the driver.

In terms of power, the BYD Leopard 5 is equipped with a four-wheel-drive system consisting of a 1.5T engine and dual motors at the front and rear. The front motor delivers 200 kW, while the rear motor provides 285 kW, and the engine's maximum net power is 135 kW, compatible with 92-octane gasoline. The total power of the system is 505 kW, and the combined torque is 760 Nm, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds.

The vehicle is equipped with a 31.8 kWh blade battery, supports 100 kW DC fast charging, and takes only 16 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%. The AC slow charging power is 6.6 kW. With its 85L ultra-large fuel tank, the vehicle's comprehensive range reaches 1200 km. Additionally, it supports 6 kW high-power external discharge, with the maximum power of the on-site power generation function reaching 20 kW.

In terms of off-road configuration, the BYD Leopard 5, with its body-on-frame design, is equipped with a four-wheel-drive system with three differential locks. The front differential lock is integrated into the gearbox, the rear differential lock is part of the rear motor, and the central differential lock is an electronically simulated differential lock, meaning the electronic control system intelligently manages the torque distribution between the front and rear axles.
