Inside, the BYD Leopard 5 features two hard-core design styles. The center console houses three screens: a 15.6-inch 2.5K high-definition multimedia display, a 12.3-inch driver's instrument screen, and a 12.3-inch co-pilot multimedia entertainment screen.
The center console design is also distinctive, featuring a retractable gear lever. When the vehicle is started, the lever rises; when the vehicle is turned off, it slowly retracts, adding a sense of ceremony to the driving experience. Below the gear lever is a row of crystal-clear buttons, designed in a modern industrial style. The front and rear differential locks are controlled by large physical buttons to ensure ease of use, even when the driver is wearing gloves in winter.
In terms of the power system, the BYD Leopard 5, as the first model on BYD's new DMO super-hybrid off-road platform, is equipped with a powerful all-wheel-drive system consisting of a 1.5T engine and dual motors at the front and rear. The front motor delivers peak power of 200 kW, while the rear motor provides 285 kW, with the engine's maximum net power reaching 135 kW. The BYD Leopard 5 not only runs on 92-octane gasoline but also supports 100 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 16 minutes. Additionally, it offers 6.6 kW AC slow charging and a 6 kW high-power external discharge function.
