The 2025 New Tesla Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive Long Range version has been launched, with an official starting price of RMB 269,500 (approximately $37,480). The vehicle features rear-wheel drive and is equipped with a 78.4 kWh battery pack supplied by LG, delivering a CLTC range of 830 kilometers. Additionally, the new Model 3 Performance all-wheel-drive version is launched simultaneously, priced unchanged at RMB 339,500 (approximately $47,530), but its CLTC range has been increased from 623 kilometers to 647 kilometers.

For exterior design, the new model remains largely unchanged, featuring slim headlamp shapes paired with a closed front grille design. The front bumper has prominent creases that give the front end a distinct layered look. Moreover, the new car bears a "Model 3+" badge at the rear, indicating its long-range identity. The Tesla Model 3 dimensions are 4720/1848/1442 mm (length/width/height) with a wheelbase of 2875 mm. The new model will offer two wheel size options: 18 inches and 19 inches.

Inside, the Tesla Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive Long Range maintains a minimalist interior layout, available in both dark and light color schemes. Controls for steering, wipers, and headlights are integrated on the steering wheel, while gear shifting is done through a 15.4-inch central touchscreen. The interior also features an ambient light strip extending from the door panels to the front windshield. The front seats support ventilation, and the rear seats are equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen.

Regarding performance, the Tesla Model 3+ is powered by a rear-mounted single motor model 3D6, delivering a maximum output of 225 kW and a top speed of 200 km/h. The battery has been upgraded from CATL's lithium iron phosphate cells to LG's ternary lithium battery with a capacity of 78.4 kWh. Depending on the wheel configuration, the range corresponds to either 800 km (19-inch wheels) or 830 km (18-inch wheels) under CLTC conditions.

In terms of pricing and market positioning, the Model 3+ mainly competes with the Xiaomi SU7 Max version. Although the exterior design has not undergone major changes, the range improvement effectively alleviates users' range anxiety.
