On March 20, the Hongqi H7 electric sedan, the first strategic model within the Hongqi New Energy Vehicle (Hongqi NEV) division of the FAW Group, appeared on the market at a price of 229,800 to 309,800 yuan.
Based on the new high-end electrical and intelligent superarchitecture of FME "Qizhi", EH7 represents the brand's strategic model in the field of electrification. Based on the Hongqi E001 prototype, the new car is equipped with the new Hongqi SUV logo, demonstrating the strong characteristics of the brand.
In terms of dimensions, the EH7 measures 4,980mm in length, 1,915mm in width, 1,490mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000mm. The design prioritizes interior space with a short front and rear overhang and a long wheelbase.
The interior emphasizes material quality and color schemes, featuring a dual-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a 6-inch LCD instrument panel, and a 15.5-inch central control screen forming a unified console display, exuding a high-tech vibe. Additionally, it comes equipped with an AR HUD (head-up display) system.
In terms of technology, the EH7 boasts impressive features. It is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8155 chip and the HAP precision automatic driving assistance system, providing drivers with a safer and more convenient driving experience.
With 5 high-definition cameras, 5 mm-wave radars and 12 ultrasonic radars, for a total of 22 sensors, the EH7 can accurately detect complex scenarios and effectively prevent potential risks. It is equipped with intelligent driving assistance features such as AEB for all scenarios, emergency lane keeping and emergency lane change assist.
In terms of power, the engine of the rear-wheel drive version produces a maximum power of 253 kW and a maximum torque of 450 Nm. The all-wheel drive variant has a total engine output of 455kW and a total torque of 756Nm. The high-spec variant features adjustable CDC suspension dampers to improve suspension travel, comfort, balance and defining style. In terms of range, the EH7 can achieve a maximum CLTC-rated range of 820 kilometers. In 5 minutes of charging it can replenish up to 215 kilometers of energy.
