On June 14, Geely Auto released the latest official pictures of the new "Coolray Super Edition". This model is equipped with a 1.5L engine and will be officially launched in July. The price is expected to drop further, targeting the market under 60,000 yuan, making it the ideal first car for young people. Since its launch six years ago, Geely Coolray has achieved nearly 890,000 units in cumulative global sales.
In terms of appearance, the Geely Coolray Super Edition adopts the "Super Storm" design language, featuring dynamic lines that convey a youthful and sporty style. The front face design, named "Super Storm", includes a striking nebula streamer front grille. The Super Edition is equipped with 17-inch wheels and a rear roof spoiler, enhancing its sporty appeal.
Inside, the Geely Coolray features a new interior design with a simple and classic black and gray color scheme. Despite its starting price of 60,000 yuan, the new model offers leather black seats, a high-grade leather multi-function steering wheel, and an 8-inch central control screen.
Built on the BMA global new generation modular architecture, the Geely Coolray Super Power Edition features a cage-type safety body with lightweight yet high-strength steel for improved pressure and collision resistance. Practical features such as the ESC body stability system, rearview camera, G-LINK intelligent vehicle system, EPB+AUTOHOLD, ensure a safer, more comfortable, and convenient driving experience.
Powering the Geely Coolray Super Power Edition is a new 1.5L direct injection engine delivering 93 kW (126 horsepower) and 152 N·m of torque, with a WLTC fuel consumption rate of 6.89 liters per 100 kilometers. The transmission options include a 5-speed manual transmission and a simulated 8-speed CVT automatic transmission.
