On 18th March, the new member of the GAC GS4 family, the GS4 MAX, was officially launched. As a 100,000-grade family SUV, the GS4 MAX adopts a new styling design, offers four exterior colours and two interior colours, and is powered by a 1.5TGDI+7WDCT powertrain with a maximum power of 177 hp.
Externally, the exterior design of the GS4 MAX emphasises the unicorn-like grandeur and the matrix green ladder grille is atmospheric and stable.The LED headlights adopt a new type of lighting unit with an irradiation distance of 150m, which provides a wider, brighter and farther irradiation range. In addition, the new car offers four nanoscale colour-changing pearlescent paints, namely Starry Night Black, White Moon Grey, Super Star Silver and Snow White.
Side view, the whole car shape is straight and slender, body lines stretch, cutting surface to create a strong sense of muscle, all standard with hidden door handles. Tail adopts the long rainbow through type LED tail lamp, double light belt modelling is quite recognizable. At the same time, the hollowed out rear spoiler, tail diffuser and other designs make the car sporty. Body dimensions, its length, width and height of 4685 × 1901 × 1690mm, wheelbase of 2750mm.
The interior of the GS4 MAX is based on the concept of modern minimalist design and offers two interior themes: early morning milky coffee for a homely, healing interior colour scheme, and chestnut walnut to create a sense of calm and light luxury in the visual outlook. The new car is equipped with ADiGO SPACE super-sensitive interactive intelligent cockpit and 14.6-inch giant screen technology screen, supporting intelligent AI voice control and full-scene multi-mode interaction, 100% visible can be said, while the voice support to look at the picture and say the word. GAC Magic covers a number of official scenarios such as baby, home, quiet, work, etc., and supports user customisation, giving a voice command to complete a number of car control and entertainment operations in the cockpit.
The GS4 MAX is equipped as standard with a panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade. The interior is spacious and equipped with zero-pressure comfortable seats made of exclusively developed delicate leather material, and the main driver's seat is 6-way electrically adjustable, with heated front cushions/backrests. The backrests of the rear seats can be adjusted and put down flat to meet the diversified space needs of users. The conventional volume of the trunk is 638L, which can be expanded to 1586L after the second row of seats are put down, and the maximum depth can be up to 2 metres.
In terms of other configurations, the new car features a wrap-around 8 airbags: 2 front frontal airbags + 2 front side airbags + 2 penetrating side air curtains + 2 rear side airbags, covering all 10 positions of the car. The main driver's door panel is integrated with electronic child lock, which can control the locking of rear doors and windows with one key. In terms of Intelligent Driver Assistance, the new car is equipped with Tranqi ADiGO PILOT, which comes standard with 8 L2-level Intelligent Driver Assistance functions, including AEB Automatic Emergency Braking (with VRU Pedestrian Recognition and Protection), FCW Forward Collision Warning, ACC Adaptive Cruise Control (with ISLC Intelligent Speed Limit Control), TJA/ICA Integrated Cruise Assist, LKA Lane Keeping Assist, LDW Lane Departure Warning, TSR Traffic Sign Recognition, HMA Intelligent High and Low Beam Control.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with 1.5TGDI+7WDCT powertrain, in which the 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 177 hp (130kW) and a peak torque of 270 Nm, and the official announcement of its fuel consumption under WLTC conditions is 6.8L/100km, and the NEDC fuel consumption is 6.4L/100km.The chassis uses a front MacPherson independent suspension and rear multi-link independent suspension.
