The all-new Buick GL8 Land Business Edition has officially launched, positioned as the entry-level fuel-powered MPV under the Buick brand. Both its exterior and interior have received subtle upgrades. The all-new Buick GL8 price is ¥229,900 (about $31,700).
The 2025 Buick new GL8 exterior design draws inspiration from the GL8 Lushang PHEV, adopting Buick's latest PURE Design family language. A large trapezoidal "Liuyun" grille with chrome accents dominates the front, while the bumper integrates air dams and air curtains, enhancing both visual appeal and aerodynamic efficiency.
In terms of dimensions, the Buick GL8 specs are 5219/1878/1807 mm, with a wheelbase of 3088 mm. Compared to the previous generation, the length is reduced by 19 mm, height increased by 31 mm, while width and wheelbase remain unchanged. For added convenience and safety, features now include a right-side power sliding door with smart anti-pinch function and electrically folding and heated side mirrors.
On the inside, the dashboard is equipped with a floating dual 12.3-inch display, supporting wireless CarPlay and remote control functions. Voice recognition is now faster and more accurate. To enhance cabin quietness, the Buick GL8 interior makes extensive use of dual-layer acoustic glass, LASD damping pads, and rear wheelhouse felts for sound insulation.
The Buick GL8 seats follow a 2+2+3 layout, with the third-row seats supporting a 4/6 split-fold configuration. The maximum luggage capacity can be expanded to 1650L, offering excellent practicality.
As for the powertrain, the new Buick GL8 Land Business Edition is powered by the eighth-generation Ecotec 2.0T variable-cylinder turbocharged engine, paired with a 9-speed HYDRA-MATIC automatic transmission. It delivers a maximum output of 174 kW and peak torque of 350 N·m. It also supports a "two-cylinder ultra-economy" mode. The rear suspension has been upgraded from a torsion beam to a four-link independent suspension, significantly enhancing driving comfort.
With this new launch, the Buick GL8 for sale further enriches Buick's MPV lineup, forming a complete portfolio including the Land Business Edition, Land Supreme, Land Shang, and Land Supreme PHEV. Together with the high-end Buick CENTURY, it covers a market range from $30,000 to $100,000, fully catering to diversified family and business travel demands.
